Kitala Secondary School is a grant-aided government school that started in 2008 as a community school accommodating all religions. It started as an ordinary-level school and was later upgraded to an advanced secondary school in 2012. It has over 1236 children.
The school is found in Busiro county- Katabi town council, Kitala parish. It is located 39km from Kampala city on Kampala –Entebbe road. This project was launched on the 3rd of July 2023
The project was spearheaded by two clubs and the Rotary Club of Bwebajja was one of them. The primary objective of the project was to enhance the quality of education provided in Uganda and Tanzania and create a nurturing environment for learners to thrive It was the flagship project for the district and it also doubled as the basic Education and Literacy. The project sought to uplift the face of the institution and clubs were actively engaged in constructing additional classroom blocks hence fostering a conducive learning environment.
The launch of the project by the District Governor Francisco Ssemwanga marked a milestone for the district signaling its unwavering commitment to the advancement of education and literacy
